Rising in the planes and EGC rites of Baptism and Confirmation

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law

Sister Alzbeth delivered an excellent workshop on Rising in the planes. This was an astral journeying through the Qabalistic Tree of Life as Moina Mathers of the Golden Dawn was recorded practising in 1892. The workshop saw participants paint their own Indian Tattwa symbols and conduct the ritual that will make them ascend up the Tree of Life to explore and discover. This Lesser and Greater Rituals of the Pentagram were both part of the ritual.

Also at todays busy meeting we administered Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica (E.G.C.) rites of Baptism and Confirmation. The origins of the Rite of Baptism are lost in antiquity, but its meaning is as clear as living water: it symbolises birth. The object of this Rite is to commemorate the birth of a child as a member of the Body of Nuit, whose Life is one, individual and eternal; to welcome this individual through a symbolic second birth into the knowledge, fellowship and sanctuary of our Congregation; and to remind us of our duties toward each other, as toward our children and all children. Thelema rejects the idea of original sin. So, for us, baptism represents a symbolic birth into the Thelemic community.  Confirmation represents the first conscious manifestation of the True Will.  The Church accepts the confirmand as a Thelemite, one of its own, a rightful claimant to the heirship, communion and benediction of the Saints.

Love is the law, love under will
